How does Interceptor work?
Interceptor contains milbemycin oxime as the active ingredient. Milbemycin oxime works by disrupting nerve signals in parasites, causing paralysis and eventual death of the parasites.
After oral administration, Interceptor (milbemycin oxime) is absorbed into the bloodstream where it eliminates heartworm larvae before they can develop into adult heartworms. It also treats intestinal worms within the digestive tract for broad-spectrum internal parasite protection.
Each flavored tablet of Interceptor (51-100 lbs) delivers 23 mg of milbemycin oxime, providing effective protection against heartworms and intestinal worms.
