How does Advantage for Cats work?
Advantage contains imidacloprid as its active ingredient.

Because fleas do not need to bite the cat to receive a lethal dose, Advantage helps reduce irritation caused by flea bites and may assist in reducing flea allergy dermatitis associated with flea feeding.
How fast does Advantage work?
Advantage starts working quickly after application. Existing fleas on the cat are killed within one day of treatment. Reinfesting fleas stop biting within 3 to 5 minutes and are killed within one hour after coming into contact with the treated cat.
