Frontline Plus for Dogs is a topical spot-on that offers one month of flea and tick protection for dogs and puppies from 8 weeks of age, weighing at least 5 lbs. It is a fast-acting, long-lasting, easy-to-apply, and waterproof flea and tick spot-on treatment.
Frontline Plus kills fleas, flea eggs, and flea larvae and prevents all flea life stages from developing. It also stops existing flea infestations and prevents new ones. It may help reduce the incidence of flea allergy dermatitis by killing fleas.
The spot-on treatment kills all life stages of ticks (larva, nymph, and adult), including brown dog ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus), American dog ticks (Dermacentor variabilis), lone star ticks (Amblyomma americanum), and deer ticks (Ixodes scapularis).
Frontline Plus also eliminates chewing lice infestations in dogs and aids in the control of sarcoptic mange infestations. It is approved for use on breeding, lactating, and pregnant dogs. Keep your dog protected from the nuisance of flea and tick infestations with a simple and convenient monthly application of Frontline Plus.
Frontline Plus Spot-on contains two key ingredients, fipronil and (S)-methoprene. The solution spreads from the point of application, rapidly covering the entire dog and localizing in the hair, on the surface of the skin, and in the sebaceous glands to kill parasites.
The sebaceous glands act as a reservoir, continuously replenishing the active ingredients onto the skin and hair coat, so it keeps working even if the dog gets wet. Fleas, ticks, and lice are killed when they come in contact with the treated dog. They do not need to bite your dog to die.

It is not necessary to use Frontline Plus Spray with other Frontline products. However, to resolve both flea infestations and household contamination it is strongly recommended to use Frontline Plus Spray with Fronline Plus.
