Equimec Tape Horse Wormer Paste

Equimec Tape Horse Wormer Paste is a broad-spectrum wormer for horses. It helps control a wide range of internal worms, including tapeworms, large strongyles, small strongyles, pinworms, ascarids, hairworms, large-mouth stomach worms, neck threadworms, bots, lungworms and intestinal threadworms. It also treats skin lesions caused by Habronema and Draschia spp. cutaneous larvae (summer sores) and Onchocerca spp microfilariae (cutaneous onchocerciasis). The treatment comes with a convenient graduated trigger applicator and can be swallowed easily by horses. It is safe for pregnant mares and is suitable for equines of all breeds and ages.

How does it work?

Equimec Tape is formulated using ivermectin and praziquantel as its active ingredients. The treatment combines the power of the constituents to provide complete protection against all major equine parasites, including potentially life-threatening tapeworms.

Directions

Use the syringe provided in the package to administer the treatment.
Turn the dosage control knob to adjust the dosage according to your horse’s bodyweight.
Insert the syringe into the side of the horse’s mouth into the gap between the front and back teeth.
Press the plunger to the chosen dosage, depositing the treatment on the rear of the tongue.
Once the treatment is administered, raise the horse’s head for a few seconds to ensure the full dose has been swallowed.

Dosage:

The recommended dosage of Equimec Plus Tape is 1 ml/88 lbs (1 ml/40kg).
Each dose of 1 ml/40kg bodyweight delivers 0.2 ml/kg of Ivermectin and 2.5mg/kg of Praziquantel.
The contents of a syringe will treat one horse at 1320 lbs (600kg).
Each weight marking on the syringe plunger delivers 2.5g of paste, which is enough to treat a 100kg weight.

Safety

Avoid using for horses less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Avoid using on any other animals intended for human consumption.
Mares may be treated at any stage of pregnancy.
Keep away from children, pets and uninformed individuals.
Store below 86°F (room temperature).
Protect from light.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Wash your hands with soap and water after handling the product.
In case of poisoning, seek immediate medical help.
Dispose of the empty syringe and carton by wrapping it with paper and putting in the garbage.
