Frontline Plus for Cats – Flea & Tick Spot-On Treatment
Frontline Plus for Cats is a topical flea and tick treatment for cats and kittens 8 weeks and older, weighing at least 1.5 pounds. It is a fast-acting, long-lasting treatment that kills fleas, ticks, and chewing lice while preventing reinfestations.
It is approved for use in breeding, pregnant, and lactating queens. The easy-to-use applicator makes flea and tick control simple, and the waterproof formulation ensures your cat stays protected even after exposure to water.
Effectiveness of Frontline Plus for Cats
Frontline Plus prevents the development of all stages of fleas for up to 6 weeks and kills all life stages of ticks, including larvae, nymphs, and adults, for up to 30 days. It kills ticks that may transmit diseases such as Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, babesiosis, anaplasmosis, haemobartonellosis, and other harmful tick-borne infections.
How Frontline Plus for Cats Works
Frontline Plus is a spot-on flea and tick treatment for cats. The two active ingredients, fipronil and (S)-methoprene, work effectively to kill fleas and ticks. Both ingredients spread from the single point of application, covering the skin surface and hair follicles via the sebaceous glands. These glands act as reservoirs to replenish the active ingredients on the skin, and thus, the treatment continues to work even if the coat gets wet.
