Interceptor for Dogs is a monthly oral parasite prevention treatment that protects against common types of worms in dogs and puppies 4 weeks of age and older, weighing at least 2 lbs.
Administered orally once a month, Interceptor helps prevent heartworm disease and treats and controls intestinal worms such as roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. By eliminating these parasites, the treatment helps protect your dog from infections that can affect overall health.
With its reliable monthly protection and convenient-to-dose tablet form, Interceptor offers a practical and effective deworming solution for dogs.
Interceptor contains milbemycin oxime as the active ingredient. Milbemycin oxime works by disrupting nerve signals in parasites, causing paralysis and eventual death of the parasites.
After oral administration, Interceptor (milbemycin oxime) is absorbed into the bloodstream where it eliminates heartworm larvae before they can develop into adult heartworms. It also treats intestinal worms within the digestive tract for broad-spectrum internal parasite protection.
