Valuheart for Dogs - Heartworm Disease Prevention

Valuheart for Dogs is a monthly oral tablet indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease in dogs and puppies from 6 weeks of age. It eliminates the larval stages of heartworms that may infect the dog in the month (30 days) before treatment.

Available as small, scored, easy-to-dose tablets, Valuheart offers reliable heartworm disease prevention with regular monthly dosing. Just give your dog one convenient tablet of Valuheart as directed and help them stay protected from the dangerous heartworm disease.

How does Valuheart work?

Valuheart is formulated with ivermectin as its key ingredient.

When a Valuheart tablet is given orally, the ivermectin gets absorbed in the bloodstream of the dog to eliminate the immature stages of heartworms present in the dog’s body and prevent their development into adult heartworms.

Valuheart tablets are available in three dosage strengths to offer optimum dosage to small dogs, medium dogs, and large dogs.

What to know before using Valuheart?

Valuheart should be used with caution in ivermectin-sensitive dog breeds, including Collies and Border Collies.
Dogs should be tested for heartworms before starting treatment with Valuheart heartworm prevention tablets.
The initial dose must be given within one month of the first exposure to mosquitoes. However, Valuheart Monthly Heartworm Tablets also control heartworm infection when treatment is initiated up to four months after exposure to infected mosquitoes, provided monthly treatment is continued for at least 12 months. The final dose must be given within one month after the last exposure to mosquitoes.
Valuheart is a preventative treatment that works against heartworm larvae only; it does not kill adult heartworms.
