Vectra 3D for Very Small Dogs is a monthly topical treatment for toy dogs and puppies over 8 weeks of age, weighing between 3–8 lbs. It provides effective control of various external parasites, including fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, sand flies, and stable flies. Furthermore, it also helps stop the multiplication of fleas to prevent flea infestations.

How does Vectra 3D for Dogs work?

Vectra 3D for dogs contains active ingredients like Dinotefuran, Pyriproxyfen, and Permethrin. These three ingredients help control fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, mites, and sand flies, helping reduce the discomfort and irritation caused by them to your dog.

Once the pests land on your dog, they come into contact with the treated skin and hairs. The more they move on the dog to find a location to bite, the more they are exposed to the active ingredients of Vectra 3D for dogs, and the sooner they are affected.

In ticks, Vectra 3D for dogs causes first a “hot foot” reaction. The sensors in the legs of these parasites are very sensitive to permethrin and make the parasite run off the dog (hot foot effect). They are physically compelled to crawl back up the fur, away from the skin, without biting.

It begins to stop fleas from biting in 5 minutes and kills the majority of fleas on dogs within 4 hours of treatment.

Directions

Select the pack that corresponds to your dog’s weight.
Apply the spot-on directly to the dog’s skin.
To open the tube, press down the smaller disk firmly.
Make sure your dog is dry and standing while applying.
Squeeze the tube to apply on the skin in a continuous line from the base of the tail to the shoulder blades until the tube is empty.
Avoid superficial application to the dog’s hair.
Repeat every month.
